輝く都市生活の影で、貧しい生活を送りながらも日々を懸命に生きる美女たちの日常を照らし出します。
肌や服、背景、小物などの表現を実写と見間違えるほどにフォトリアルを追求して作成しました。
日本の首都・東京を舞台にしたこの写真集では、都市の喧騒の中で生きる美しい日本人女性たちが、貧困という現実に直面しつつも、見つけ出した幸せと自由の瞬間を捉えています。
使い古した服を擦り切れるまで大切に着続ける女性や、生計を立てるために食品加工会社や工事現場でアルバイトをする姿があります。
彼女たちは古くて狭い激安アパートで暮らしていますが、忙しく過ぎる日々や、仕事がなかなか見つからない不安定な時期でさえ、その手頃な家賃の住まいは、彼女たちにとって心の平穏をもたらす安らぎの場所となっています。
懸命に生きる美女達の生き生きとした日常は、貧困に負けず、どんな状況でも自らの幸せを見つけ出し、楽しみながら生きる強さと美しさを伝えています。東京という都市が抱える矛盾と美しさを、そこで暮らす女性たち一人一人の物語を通して映し出しています。

Set in the Japanese capital of Tokyo, this collection of photographs captures the moments of happiness and freedom found by beautiful Japanese women living amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, while facing the reality of poverty.
There are women who continue to wear their worn-out clothes with care until they are worn out, and others who work part-time at food processing companies and construction sites to earn a living.
They live in cramped, old, inexpensive apartments, but their affordable housing provides them with a place of peace and tranquility during their busy days and even during periods of job insecurity.
The vibrant daily lives of these hard-working beauties convey the strength and beauty of finding their own happiness and enjoying life in spite of poverty. The contradictions and beauty of the city of Tokyo are shown through the stories of each of the women who live there.
